For the shark tank project, the class was split into groups of 4 by Profe(teacher). My group included Ty, Cuanza, and Ashlyn. For this project we basically had to create a food truck from a certain country and had to use Spanish vocab we have learned threw out the year. The food and ingredients especially had to be in Spanish since that chapter of the packet was on foods and drinks and times. The sharks were our classmates and we presented to them. If we got seven people to invest in our business we got extra-credit. For our food truck we created a menu with desayuno, almuerzo, cena, bebidas, and postres- breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, and deserts.
I feel like this assignment addressed the 21st century skill communication skills the most since while people were presenting, you had to listen to their idea, vocab, and their speech, to vote and learn for your self. And with this project you had to know when to listen out to your group member and communicate respectively with each other. We also spent a lot of time out of school working on this and everyone created the canvas posters so, we also texted prompts. We used a lot of vocab and other Spanish word I found proudness in. This assignment helped me improve my 21st century skill by teaching us to reach out and ask your group questions. During this task I found difficulty in finding certain foods since we had to pick a country, ours was Spain and for theses foods we wanted ones that included a lot of vocab from the last chapter like pollo and arroz (chicken and rice). The final product seemed a little messy, I would have designed and created the menu a bit more elaborately. We also incorrectly named our business as Bueno comida since first of all they should be switched since in Spanish its food good. Also the genders was wrong it supposed to be Comida Buena. This also reminds me of the country project since it also involved vocab and countries. In the future, I have some Spanish friends and maybe I can try to tall to them in their own language. |
