Reflection
Last quarter in computer science we learned how to use weebly so I created a weebly site. On this weebly site you had to have a Home and feedback page. Then we had 3 sub-topic pages with 2 examples for each sub-topic. The examples are just 2 kinds of the sub-topics. We used Galleries, Scribd, link threw text, map, video, blog ,and slide show.My website was about Halloween costumes so I had 3 sub-topics that were Scary, Cartoon, and funny costumes. The two examples I had for scary costumes were classic and new scary costumes. And for Cartoon I had Gaming and the top 5 costumes. For Funny I had Most popular and object costumes.
I chose this as a sample to share since I was very proud of my site. Everyone uses sites for anything and I always wondered how random people make them. I also was very proud that my sites actually got a couple views.I also enjoyed looking at other peoples sites. The 21st century skill I used the most is my Informational Skill. This skill is important to this project since I needed to research my own learning on how to find my own information and use it for a site. And this weebly project did not just teach me how to import pictures and sites, it taught me how to be resourceful with the information that I find. The challenges I faced in this site was organization in the beginning since everything was a bit spread out but when I made everything a bit more organized by using spacers and sections and matching colors the site looked a lot better. It was also very hard to not get distracted since the website needed a lot of photos so I might be looking at costumes but than there's a great price for a costume to distract me. Next time I would try to make my site a bit more user friendly since I didn't know what kind of audience I would get so next time I would try to make all the backgrounds a bit more relatable to the other ones. I would also try to be more elaborate on the feedback for my site. |
