This poster was a summery of what we learned of the last couple weeks of quarter 3. This poster required you to write a word problem, that has be solved my a system of equations. The 3 solving methods are substitution, elimination ,and graphing. After learning these the ways, it was time to see how they work in real life.You had to show your work and explain how you found your answer. I made this poster using Canva, to make it seem more realistic. I chose this as my work sample since we don't really get that many projects for math. I also put this on my portfolio since most people think why are we learning this and wondering when are we ever going to use this in life. This project really showed that you might have a situation like this in your life. I used real peoples names and actual stores to make it seem more realistic. A few goals I had for this project was that by the end of it, I had a good understanding of how to do each equation. And by the end this project really help me understand how to write the equations and solve them. Since this project had to be a poster, it also required to be creative with the word problem and the design of the poster. This poster also showed that I can find ways to learn using the internet since when you learn math problems, its very hard to remember. It also showed that next time, I would need to ask more questions. I found out how to do he equation but not use it as well in the poster. The 21st century skill I used the most is the information skill in this project. The 21st century skill was used by finding different ways to do the equation and watching videos like Khan Academy. I did not use any other 21st century skills since they did not really come into play. I could work on the communication skill of this project since Should have asked more questions to my peers or teacher. |
